This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering the application of the petitioner for general transfer on special ground under the extant rules. Mr. Biswarup Bhattacharya, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that subsequent to filing of the writ petition, the school authorities has passed the resolution and granted 'No Objection' in favour of the petitioner. He accordingly submits that the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction upon the authority concerned to consider his application expeditiously. In light of the above submissions, the petitioner is directed to forward his application to the authority concerned and the authority concerned is directed to take a decision on the said application within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

With these above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
