It has been brought to the notice by the learned counsels for the petitioner, the University and the College that the present petitioner is a candidate for promotion in the subject of Pharmacology. Incidentally, by the same notification dated May 18, 2023, the selection process was declared for a few subjects including Pharmacology and Biochemistry. For the subject of Biochemistry, a confusion has arisen about compliance with the roster system and the matter is pending before this Court in another writ petition being WPA No. 12317 of 2023. However, such issues are not there in the case of the subject of Pharmacology.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the respondent authorities to go ahead with the selection process, pursuant to their earlier

notification dated May 18, 2023, for the subject of Pharmacology. The same may be done as expeditiously as possible.

As no affidavits have been directed to be exchanged in the writ petition, all the allegations contained therein are deemed not to have been admitted by the parties. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
