1) Commercial quantity of Ganja was seized from the joint possession of the petitioner and another accused person.
2) In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the N.D.P.S. Act, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.
3) CRM (NDPS) 1126 of 2024 is dismissed.
4) The petitioner complains that he is in custody for 1 year 8 months. Witness action has not begun.
5) Learned APP for the State tells us that there are six charge-sheet named witnesses.
6) Considering the long detention of the petitioner, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same at the earliest and preferably within 8 months from the next date fixed for recording of evidence.
