Chattopadhyay ....for the FCI The petitioner prays for disposal of the conciliation proceedings by the respondent no. 1 as expeditiously as possible in terms of Section 12(6) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (in short, "the Act").

Learned counsel for the 2nd respondent also submits that the application filed by the petitioner should be directed to be disposed of by the 1st respondent in terms of Section 12(6) of the Act.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the conciliation proceedings pending before it within the time stipulated under Section 12(6) of the Act after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the affected parties including the petitioner and the 2nd respondent, in accordance with law.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
