By an order dated May 15, 2023, this Court directed the District Judge, South 24-Parganas and the Chairman of District Recruitment Committee to immediately issue a letter of appointment in favour of the petitioner, not later than a period of 2 weeks. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that such letter of appointment has been issued.

In view of the anomalies committed by the District Recruitment Committee in appointing the private respondent no.4, this Court directed an enquiry to be conducted by the High Court administration.

In compliance of the aforesaid directions, the learned Registrar (Vigilance) was entrusted to conduct an enquiry into the matter and submit a report before the Hon'ble Court.

The Registrar (Vigilance) placed the matter before the Hon'ble Chief Justice for according necessary permission with regard to the enquiry. The Hon'ble Chief Justice was pleased to place the matter before the Hon'ble Administrative Committee.

The matter is now pending before the Hon'ble Administrative Committee.

In such view of the matter, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in WPA 16132 of 2019. Accordingly, the same is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
