The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023.

Allegation is that there has been several illegalities on the date of the poll and at the time of counting. From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that the petitioner did not file any complaint before any authority highlighting his grievances. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum by way of an election petition, if permissible in law, for redressal of his grievances, if so advised.

The Panchayat Returning Officer is directed to properly preserve the CCTV/Video footages and the ballot papers and produce the same as and when directed.
