Earlier, the appellant's application for bail in connection with appeal was rejected on 27.1.2020. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the appellant submits as follows. The co-accused sister-in-law was granted bail while the appellant's application for bail was rejected. The appellant no.1 is the husband of the victim lady. On merits, there is no medical evidence to support the case under Section 313 of the Code. This is a case of term imprisonment. The present appellant had already undergone about one year and five months of custody out of maximum imprisonment of six years imposed upon him.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for bail. However, in his usual fairness, he submits that this is a case of term imprisonment.

Considering the fact that this is a case of term imprisonment and the appellant has already suffered custody of about one year and five months, the application for bail in connection with appeal in respect of the present appellant is allowed.

The appellant shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand only) with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local subject to the satisfaction of the Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.

CRAN 2 of 2020 and CRAN 3 of 2020 are disposed of.
