Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Despite service, no one appears on behalf of the respondents including the State.

Mr. Rajat Dutta, learned Counsel who present in Court and who ordinarily appeared on behalf of the State is requested to represent the State in this case. His engagement will be regularized in due course. Copy of the writ petition is handed over to Mr. Dutta in Court.

Mr. Basu, learned Senior Counsel representing the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an Assistant Professor of the respondent College. He sought transfer and his application for transfer was recommended by the concerned College. Yet, the

respondent, DPI is not considering such representation/application.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that if such representation had been made before the DPI, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

It appears that the petitioner's application/representation for transfer is pending consideration.

In view of the same, the respondent DPI is requested to consider the petitioner's representation/application for transfer as forwarded by the College in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of communication of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
