The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. He raises serious issues with regard to the discrepancy in the number of votes polled and the number of votes counted.

Complaint appears to have lodged before the State Election Commission by sending letter on 17th July, 2023.

It appears that the complaint was filed at a very delayed stage.

In view of the above, the Court refrains from exercising jurisdiction in the matter.

The writ petition stands dismissed.

Dismissal of the writ petition will, however, not stand in the way of the petitioner from approaching the appropriate forum by way of election petition, for redressal of his grievances, if so advised.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
