The mother of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a primary school. She died in harness on 2nd September, 2018. The petitioner applied for being appointed on compassionate ground on 24th August, 2021.
As it appears that the petitioner's application for being appointed on compassionate ground is pending consideration at the end of the District Primary School Council, North 24 Parganas accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 3 Chairman of the District Primary School Council, North 24-Parganas to take a decision with
regard to the prayer of the petitioner for being appointed on compassionate ground, strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.
The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.
It is made clear that the Court has not entered into the merits of the application filed by the petitioner and all points are left open to be decided by the said respondent at the time of consideration of the application of the petitioner.
Writ petition disposed of.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
