The writ petition is directed against an order dated July 24, 2019 passed in O.A. 1023 of 2018 by the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal.

State is represented.

The applicant initially joined as 'Sepoy' with the Kolkata Armed Police on January 7, 1982. He was dismissed from service on February 26, 1990. The order of termination of his service was assailed unsuccessfully. Prayer for review was also rejected.

The writ petitioner did not put in qualifying service to receive pensionary benefits. The writ petitioner is, however, entitled to government provident fund along with accrued interest.

The learned Tribunal by the impugned order directed payment of government provident fund along with accrued interest to the writ petitioner.

Learned senior advocate appearing for the State submits that, the writ petitioner is not complying with the formalities in order to facilitate the State Authorities to release the government provident fund along with accrued interest. The writ petitioner insisted on pensionary benefits. Writ petitioner is not entitled to any other benefit apart from the government provident fund along with accrued interest.

In such circumstances, we find no merit in the present writ petition.

WP.ST 98 of 2021 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
