Mr. Ranjan Kali, Ms. Mitul Chakraborty, Ms. Payel Nath ...for the Petitioner Mr. Sandipan Banerjee, Mr. Ankit Sureka ...for HMC 07-01-2025 AKG Ct. 15 The petitioner alleges unauthorised construction at the instance of respondent no. 6 at premises no. 56/2, Dharmatala Lane, Post Office & Police Station - Shibpur, Ward No. 34 under Howrah Municipal Corporation.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that the Corporation has not initiated any demolition proceeding in respect of the unauthorised construction.

The Corporation, per contra, submits that a demolition proceeding has already been initiated against the alleged unauthorised construction. A self demolition notice has also been issued against respondent no. 6. The Corporation shall fix a date for demolition with police help shortly.

In that view of the matter, there cannot be any

reason to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, WPA 18062 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
