The grievance of the petitioners is that O.A. 663 of 2012 (LRTT) has been kept pending inordinately by the tribunal, despite a previous direction of this court dated September 26, 2022, whereby the tribunal was requested to take up the matter on the next date fixed, that is, on December 5, 2022 and to endeavour to dispose of the same within two months therefrom, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties and by recording proper reasons in accordance with law.

However, unfortunately, even in the teeth of the said request of the coordinate Bench dated

September 26, 2022, the matter is still pending although we are in the month of August, 2025, that is, almost three years thereafter.

Accordingly, WPLRT 119 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to dispose of O.A. 663 of 2012 (LRTT) positively within September 26, 2025, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, by preponing the next date fixed for hearing of the same, upon notice to both parties, if necessary.

The tribunal and all parties, for the purpose of compliance, shall act on the server copy of this order without insisting upon prior production of a certified copy.

The petitioners shall communicate a server copy of this order to the tribunal as soon as the same is available on the official website of this court. 7.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
