Mondal ... for the State The petitioner prays for a direction upon the West Bengal Board of Primary Education to issue the certificate of one year Bridge Course.

The prayer of the petitioner was disposed of by the Board by an order dated 23rd March, 2021 wherein it was mentioned that as the petitioner appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination from West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling of 2015 in which he failed in Economics and thereafter appeared in the NIOS Senior Secondary School Examination in only one subject, that is Economics, without reappearing in the failed subject from the West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, accordingly the Board

sought for a opinion regarding accepting the validity of such clearance of one subject from other Institute /Council under the norms of Transfer of Credit. The petitioner submits that he once again appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination for all the subjects from NIOS and obtained more than 50% marks in total.

The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the Board for issuance of one year Bridge Course certificate in his favour.

It appears from records that after passing in the Senior Secondary School Education from National Institute of Open Schooling in June, 2021 the petitioner did not make any written representation before the Board seeking issuance of the certificate. The petitioner submits that the documents were forwarded to the Board but there is no proof of submission of such documents on record.

The instant writ petition is accordingly disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to forward all the necessary documents in support of his Senior Secondary School Education to the respondent No. 4 the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education. On receipt of the documents from the petitioner, the respondent no. 4 shall consider the prayer of the petitioner for issuance of the certificate

at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of all necessary documents from the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
