By way of this contempt application under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, the petitioner has sought for punishment of the contemner/respondent concerned in the writ petition for violation of an order dated December 10, 2001 passed in WP No.17393(W) of 2001.

While the application was affirmed on October 9, 2002, the applicant was then about 53 years old, and now, if he is alive, he is about 72 years of age.

Since filing of the contempt application, none moved to press it.

I feel that the petitioner is no longer interested to proceed with the application on hand.

Accordingly, the contempt application stands dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioner. [Rabindranath Samanta, J]
