The police authorities have filed a report from which it appears that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner before the Garden Reach Police Station and further order passed by the learned Magistrate in an application under Section 156(3) of the Cr.P.C., two FIRs were registered being Garden Reach P.S. Case No. 3 dated January 9, 2021 and Garden Reach P.S. Case No. 221 dated December 16, 2020. The investigation was clubbed together. The accused persons were arrested and subsequently released on bail.

The report is taken on record.

The police authorities have undertaken before this court through the report that the investigation is almost complete and appropriate report shall be filed

before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, 24 Parganas (South), by the next date.

Under such circumstances, the grievances of the petitioner has been met.

The writ petition is disposed of directing the police authorities to take expeditious steps before the learned court below.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
