This matter has been assigned before this Court and accordingly is taken up today.

The petitioner in the present writ petition has, inter alia, prayed for a direction upon the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Board") to permit the petitioner to participate in the document verification process conducted in connection with the notification dated 10th July 2025 without the petitioner being called upon to produce the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification certificate, since according to the petitioner such certificate having not been downloaded in time, is no longer available online.

The petitioner claims to have acquired the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certificate in the year 2022. The petitioner also claimed to have been selected in the selection process initiated by the Board vide notification dated 29th September, 2022. Such notification was challenged in a writ petition and the matter ultimately went up before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. By an order dated 4th April, 2025, the Hon'ble Supreme Court was, inter alia, pleased to issue certain directions for verification of the eligibility of the appellants by the Board concluding the selection process. At the instance of similarly placed candidates, directions were passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court on 13th June, 2025, 17th June 2025 and 24th June, 2025 in WPA 6695 of 2024 (Pampa Dutta Dhar & Ors. v. The State of West Bengal & Ors.)
, for verification of the eligibility of the candidates provided they fulfill the conditions stipulated in the judgment dated 4th April, 2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Pursuant to the above, the notification dated 10th July, 2025 has been published.

Mr. Sanyal, learned Senior Advocate appears on behalf of the respondent no. 3 / Board. He submits that there is no dispute that the petitioner had qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination of 2017 held in the year 2022. The marks secured by the petitioner are also available with the Board. As such, the petitioner is not required to submit the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certificate. The verification of the petitioner is already complete. According to Mr. Sanyal, learned Senior Advocate, the document disclosed by the petitioner which is available at page 45 of the writ petition appears to be a downloaded copy of the marks secured by the petitioner in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2017. The petitioner may, therefore, submit the aforesaid document in support of her claim of having secured 90 marks by tomorrow (01.08.2025).

Having regard to the submission made by Mr. Sanyal, learned Senior Advocate, I am of the view that no dispute survives in the instant writ petition. The petitioner is, therefore, directed to submit the downloaded copy of the marks as annexed at page 45 of the writ petition with the
4 WPA 17020 of 2025 Board for the purpose of verification, as the same would be the proof of her having qualified Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2017 in 2022.

If such document is submitted by the petitioner, tomorrow i.e. (01.08.2025) by 4.00 P.M., the respondents shall accept the same and shall consider the petitioner's candidature for verification.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 9.
