The State of West Bengal and others (Through Video Conference) No one is present today to prosecute this petition. Having examined the record we have found that the present PIL was filed against the private respondents Christian minority institutions with an allegation that they were making appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff without any sanction order and without following the Government staff pattern. A direction was also sought to the official respondents not to give approval against the inadmissible post of teachers in favour of the private institution.

Seven years have passed after filing of the petition and the circumstances may have changed in the meanwhile.

If the petitioner has any such surviving grievance then he can very well approach the competent authority of the State making a complaint and if such a complaint is made by the petitioner, the same will be duly considered by the competent authority in accordance with law.

WPA 16318 of 2014 Having regard to aforesaid we are of the opinion that no purpose will be served to unnecessarily keep this petition pending.

The present petition is accordingly disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
