1. Affidavit of compliance filed in Court today on behalf of the contemnor/respondent is taken on record.

2. Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate representing the contemnor/respondent by placing before this Court a note sheet dated 8th July, 2024 submits that a hearing notice had been issued on 18th June, 2024, in connection with the notice dated 18th January, 2023 read with notice dated 21st June, 2022 issued in Form -E.

Pursuant to the aforesaid, the applicant no.2/petitioner no.2 had appeared before the Registrar of Trade Unions, West Bengal, and at the instance of the applicant no.2/petitioner no.2 the matter had been adjourned. It is submitted that the order dated 15th May, 2023 is being complied with in its letter and spirit.

3. Let a copy of the note-sheet as placed before this Court by Mr. Chatterjee, dated 8th July, 2024 be taken on record.

4. Having regard to the aforesaid, since, steps have been taken to afford opportunity to the applicants/petitioner no.2 in furtherance to the notice issued in form E dated 21st June, 2022, I am of the view that the order dated 15th May, 2023 passed in WPA 9483 of 2023, has been substantially complied with, at least upto this stage. There is no reason to conclude that the order dated 15th May, 2023 shall not be complied with in its letter and spirit, at least there is nothing on record to show anything contrary.

5. In view thereof, the contempt proceeding is dropped. Rule stands discharged.
