Manas Kumar Das v. State Of West Bengal &ORS
07.06.2022.
Item No. 26.
Court No.13 pk W.P.A. No. 16649 of 2018 Manas Kumar Das
Versus
The State of West Bengal and others Mr. N. C. Mondal ...For the petitioner.
Mr. Pinaki Dhole ...For the State.
The petitioner applied for the post of Librarian and participated in the selection process for Dhuturdaha Kalyan Parishad High School (HS). A panel was prepared on 08.01.2009, and forwarded to the District Inspector of Schools on 15.01.2010. The Additional District Inspector of Schools (SE), Basirhat Sub-division, North 24 Parganas, by a communication dated 5th January, 2010, approved the panel.
After a period of 8 years, the writ petition has been filed with only one reminder having been sent to the concerned D. I. of Schools(SE) on 17.02.2013. This Court is of the view that the petitioner's claim is hopelessly belated and barred by the principle of delay and laches.
In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of without any order.
There will be no order as to costs.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
