Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent of the charges and has been falsely implicated on the accusations of guiding the truck which was carrying the contraband by plying motorcycle. Learned advocate appearing for the NCB, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the subject-matter of recovery is 14,998 bottles of Phensedyl and out of 11 accused persons in this case, six accused persons are still absconding. As such, the prosecution is unable to progress with the case.

It has been contended by the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 2 months. Consequently, I direct the learned Trial Court to exhaust harsher process of

law so that after such steps are taken and exhausted, the trial can be split up for progress.

At this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the NCB be kept with the record.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 956 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
