The State of West Bengal Mr. Debasis Kar .....for the Petitioner This is an application for direction upon the Trial Court for expeditious disposal of case No. N-112 of 2019 pending before the Learned Additional Sessions Judge cum Special Judge, NDPS Act, 6th Court, Barasat, District North 24 Parganas.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the accused was arrested on the allegation of commission of offence under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act. On July 27, 2019 on completion of investigation police submitted charge-sheet and supplementary charge-sheet against the accused on September 20, 2019 and June 6, 2021 respectively. The trial Court framed charge against the accused under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act on November 15, 2021. Subsequently, the case was fixed for trial. Till dated out of ten chargesheeted witnesses only one witness was examined. It is also submitted by the Learned Advocate for the petitioner that all the charge-sheeted witnesses are police personnel. Therefore, they are under the control of the State and the Learned Public Prosecutor can produce those witnesses on consecutive dates if he so wishes. Considering such submission made by the Learned Advocate for the petitioner and in view of long pendency of this case

the instant revision is demised and directed the Trial Court to take all possible steps for expeditious hearing of the case. The Learned Judge is requested to conclude regarding evidence within six months from the date of communication of this order possibly. The petitioner is at liberty to communicate the serve copy of this order to the Learned Trial Court for compliance the instant revision.

The revisional application is, thus, disposed of. The parties are at liberty to act on the server copy of the order.
