Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that the police authorities are not effectively investigating Burdwan P.S. Case No. 1256 of 2023 dated 22.09.2023. Another case being Burdwan P.S. Case No. 1050 of 2023 dated 17.08.2023 has been registered for investigation against the present petitioners.
Be that as it may, the main grievance of the petitioners is with regard to progress of Burdwan P.S. Case No. 1256 of 2023.
State has submitted a report which reflects that certain steps have been taken in consonance with law. However, certain documents which are to
be cross-checked since a financial defalcation is the main substance of the nature of the accusations. Having considered that substantial time has passed, police authorities would issue notices upon the petitioners in respect of the documents concerned.
Petitioners would, in such circumstances, co-operate with the investigating agency so that the investigation of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 17203 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
