Mr. Kishore Mukherjee .....For the Petitioner None appears for the respondents and no accommodation has been prayed for.

In spite of directions, it appears from perusal of the records that no affidavits had been filed by any of the respondents.

Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that his application for grant of a licence for owning and possessing a revolver was rejected by the order dated July 22, 2019 passed by the Commissioner of Police, Asansol-Durgapur Commissionerate. It is this rejection which is under challenge.

Mr. Mukherjee submits that in terms of the order dated July 22, 2019, his client is willing to submit a fresh application in conformity with the new Arms Rules, 2016 along with all requisite

documents to the concerned Commissioner of Police, Asansol-Durgapur Commissionerate.

Mr. Mukherjee submits that the application along with all the requisite documents will be filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date.

The respondent no.8 is directed to deal with such application and dispose of the same within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such application.

With the aforestated direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties urgently after completion of all necessary formalities. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
