Mr. Anirban Ghosh, Ms. Debjani Kundu ... For the petitioners. The order proposed to be passed in the present application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India would not cause any prejudice to the opposite parties, as such, service of notice of the present application upon the said opposite parties is dispensed with.

The plaintiffs in a suit for ejectment being Ejectment Suit No. 42 of 2020 pending before the learned 6th Judge, Small Causes Court at Calcutta are the petitioners of the instant application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India.

The petitioners are complaining delay in disposal of an application under Section 7 (3) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997.

The said application was filed on December 06, 2022 alleging that the defendants have defaulted in complying the provisions of Section 7 (1) of the said Act of 1997.

An application of such nature must be disposed of expeditiously, the learned Trial Judge therefore is requested to dispose of the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. C.O. 2525 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
