Counsel for the writ petitioner submits that the private respondent is forcibly trying to take possession of his patta property. A complaint has been made with the Simlapal Police Station, District-Bankura but in vain.

The remedy of the petitioner against the private respondent is before a civil or statutory forum. The police have no role to play in the private disputes between the petitioner and the private respondent. The O.C., Simlapal Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
