Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of ACGR Case No.3375 of 2017 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that charge was framed by the learned Trial Court on 6th December, 2019 and no witness has been examined till date.

Since the matter is pending for quite some time, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the case within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 2949 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
