1. The affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be taken on record.

2. Despite service, the respondents including the Rampurhat Municipality are not represented today.

3. The petitioner would complain that although the municipal authorities are aware of the fact that the private respondents are carrying out illegal construction in plot No. (LR) Plot No. 204/819, Khatian No. 327, 4599, J.L. No. 108, Mouza Kalisara, and though a stop work notice has been issued by the municipality on 30th June, 2025, the private respondents are continuing with the illegal construction.

4. In this context, he has drawn the attention of this Court to the notice dated 30th June, 2025. Though respondents are not represented, however, taking into consideration the fact that the allegation of illegal construction has been made and noting municipal authorities had issued the notice dated

WPA 17290 of 2025 30th June, 2025, I am of the view that the municipal authorities must bring the proceedings initiated by them vide notice dated 30th June, 2025 to the logical conclusion unless the same has already been disposed of. It is made clear that if the proceeding has not been disposed of, the municipal authorities shall immediately cause inspection and hear out such proceeding upon giving opportunity of hearing to all interested parties including the petitioner and bring such proceedings to a logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order.

5. On the contrary, if the proceeding has already been disposed of, the order thereof must be communicated to the petitioner within two working days from the receipt of the server copy of this order duly download from the official website of this Court.

6. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
