Seeking compliance of the direction passed by the Court on 15th May, 2023 in WPA 9258 of 2023, the petitioner filed a representation before the SubDivisional Officer, Sadar, Krishnagar in the month of June 2023. The same is alleged to be pending consideration.

Learned advocate for the State files a report by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Krishnagar wherefrom it appears that the issue was considered and the Sub-Divisional Officer came to a conclusive finding that the petitioner is the most eligible candidate for the post of ASHA from Sonadanga Sub-Center of Belpukur Gram Panchayat under Krishnanagar-II Block.

As it appears that the Sub-Divisional Officer has already found the petitioner to be the only eligible candidate, accordingly, the said Sub-Divisional Officer is directed to take necessary consequential steps in the matter at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Report filed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Krishnagar, Nadia dated 5th December, 2023 be retained with the records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
