The petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Chinsurah, Hooghly on July 04, 2024 in SC Case No. 80 of 2024 turning down the prayer of the petitioner for release of his passport for limited period and purpose. The passport of the petitioner was deposited before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly at Chinsurah as one of the conditions of bail granted by the learned Sessions Judge, Hooghly. The petitioner intends to visit Bangladesh on or after August 16, 2024 for a period of three months and seeks release of his passport for the period August 16, 2024 to November 15, 2024. Such prayer of the petitioner was granted earlier and there is no adverse report against the petitioner alleging misuse of such liberty.

In view of the above, this Court is of the view that the petitioner shall submit an application by way of an affidavit before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Chinsurah, Hooghly stating the details of the commencement of his journey, the date when he intends to return to India and details of the places intended to be visited by him along with a copy of the travel tickets and other relevant documents. The learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Chinsurah, Hooghly shall release the passport of the petitioner for the period of three months commencing from August 16, 2024. Immediately upon returning to India the petitioner shall inform the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Chinsurah, Hooghly of the same and shall deposit the passport with the Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Court, Chinsurah, Hooghly forthwith.

The revisional application being CRR No. 2953 of 2024 is disposed of.
