The petitioner has challenged the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Additional Court, Basirhat in connection with Misc. Case No. 310 of 2006. The learned Magistrate by the order dated 31st March, 2023 was pleased to direct the present petitioner/husband to pay a sum of Rs.5000/- per month as maintenance. By the same order, the learned Magistrate directed to clear the arrears, which have accrued within a period of one year.

Having regard to the plight expressed by the petitioner/husband, I direct so far as the current amount is concerned, the petitioner shall go on paying. The order of the learned Magistrate is modified to the extent that in respect of clearing the dues within a period of one year, the same would be cleared within a period of two years from the date of passing of the order by the learned Judicial Magistrate i.e., 31.03.2023. No interference is called for by this court.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application

being CRR 2695 of 2023 is disposed of.
