Let the affidavit of service filed by the petitioner be kept on record.

The petitioner claims to be a tenant under respondent nos. 6 to 8. It is his case that the ejectment suit instituted against him by the said respondents was dismissed on 13th June, 2022. The petitioner alleges that his electricity connection has been disconnected.

Learned advocate appearing for CESC, however, submits that the meter is active and no disconnection has been effected at the instance of CESC.

It appears that the disconnection has been carried out by the landlords.

In such circumstances, no direction can be issued upon the CESC for restoration of supply. The petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to engage a licensed electrician/engineer for restoration of the connection at his premises.

Accordingly, WPA 17279 of 2025 stands disposed of.
