The case of the petitioner as would be evident from the submissions of learned counsel is that the petitioner was a minor when the petitioner's father died in 2012 and attained majority in May, 2015. The petitioner was asked by the concerned College to approach later only after the petitioner attained majority. The grievance is that the petitioner is absorbed in a

casual post and not in the position held by the petitioner's father who died in harness in 2012. The State is represented and so is the West Bengal College Service Commission.

The concerned University is not represented despite being served twice. The proof of service is on record.

Upon hearing learned counsel, the added respondent, being the Vice Chancellor, Kazi Nazrul University, is directed to consider the writ petition as a representation or any other representation which the petitioner may make within two weeks from date by way of a reasoned order upon hearing all necessary parties including the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date on which a complete representation is received by the University. A copy of the reasoned order shall be given to the petitioner within two weeks from the date on which such decision is taken.

It is made clear that if the decision is in favour of the petitioner, the petitioner shall be given a suitable appointment in the University subject to the petitioner's fulfilling the eligibility criteria under the relevant Rules.

WPA 18695 of 2017 is disposed of in terms of the above.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
