1. Claiming parity with Kartick Bhattacharya @ Kartick Bhattacharyya, one of the co-accused persons whose prayer for anticipatory bail was allowed on 11th June, 2024 in CRM (A) 1867 of 2024, a prayer for anticipatory bail is made on behalf of the petitioner.

2. Learned Counsel for the State while opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail has admitted that the petitioner stands on the same footing as that of Kartick Bhattacharya @ Kartick Bhattacharyya.

In view thereof, this application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

3. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner, namely, Sankar Kumar Bhanja shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to Signed By :

the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 corresponding to 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. It is further directed that the present accused petitioner shall meet the Investigating Officer of this case once in a week or as and when required till submission of the final report and also with a further condition that the present accused petitioner shall appear before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly within two weeks from date. In the event of non-compliance of any of the conditions, the anticipatory bail shall stand automatically cancelled without any further reference to this Court.

4. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is allowed and the same is accordingly disposed of.
