Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of GR Case No.868 of 2018 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite party.

The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that the proceeding is pending since 2018. Despite a direction of this Court for expeditious disposal of the case given vide order dated 16th February, 2022 in CRR 3234 of 2019, the case has not proceeded much before the learned Trial Court.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to conclude trial within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 2955 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
