10.08.2022 sdas rejected C.R.M.(DB) No. 2682 of 2022 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Habra Police Station Case No. 202 of 2022 dated 05.03.2022 under Sections 363/365 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 14 of the Foreigners Act.

And In Re : Shoikot Sheikh ..... petitioner Mr. Susnigdho Bhattacharyya ... for the petitioner Mr. Tanmoy Kumar Ghosh Ms. Sonali Bhar ... for the State Report filed by the learned Counsel appearing for the State is placed on record.

It appears from the report that Voter's Identity Card relied upon by the petitioner is not genuine. In view of the aforesaid report and the allegation that the petitioner is not an Indian National, we are not inclined to grant bail to him at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected. We direct the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ananya Bandyopadhyay, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
