Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is kept with the records.

The petitioners seek renewal of their passport.

The petitioners have obtained order from the learned A.C.J.M., Barasat, North 24 Parganas on 27th March, 2025 in GR 2344 of 20 with reference to Ashoknagar P.S. Case No. 703/20 under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code wherein the Court has mentioned that the Court has got no objection for renewal of passport for five years on fulfillment of formalities required by the prescribed authority as per Rules.

As per GSR 570 dated 25th August, 1993, issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India an applicant against whom a criminal

proceeding is pending is required to approach the learned Court and obtain order permitting the applicant to depart from the country.

In the instant case the learned A.C.J.M. has recorded that the Court has no objection for renewal of the passport subject to fulfillment of formalities required by the prescribed Authority. As per the formality, the condition prescribed in notification no. 570E is required to be followed by the petitioners. 6.

It will be open for the petitioners to act in terms of the aforesaid notification.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
