In view of final report of the mediator, it reveals that the parties have arrived at a settlement amicable on certain terms and conditions. Both parties have agreed with the said conditions. Both of them have agreed to file compromise petition signed by the parties before this Court to resolve their disputes.

It appears from the report that settlement has been made between the parties without threat, coercion or undue influence and praying for quashing of the proceeding in exercise of power under Section 482 read with Section 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Considering the above facts and circumstances and on perusal of the joint compromise petition, it appears that the compromise is voluntary in nature and dispute was between two friends. All the sections are compoundable and when

there is a compromise, there is no impediment to allow their prayer.

Hence, let the instant proceeding being G. R. (S) Case No. 1086 of 2023 arising out of Hare Street Police Station Case No. 260 of 2023 dated 15.09.2023 under Sections 341/323/506/509 of the IPC now pending before the learned C.J.M., Calcutta is hereby quashed insofar as the petitioner is concerned.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned court below for information. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2959 of 2024 is disposed of. Consequently, connected application being CRAN 1 of 2025 is also disposed of.
