The petitioner prays for a direction upon the District Land & Land Reforms Officer for supplying certified copy of the vesting case no.450/SADAR/MKD/1976-77.

It appears that the Deputy District Land & Land Reforms Officer being the SPIO, by a communication dated June 10, 2022, requested the BL & LRO to provide the information directly to the petitioner. The same has not been done till date.

Though the petitioner has a remedy under the Right to Information Act, 2005, but as it appears that a mere certified copy of the vesting case has been sought for, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing that the DL & LRO, Malda shall ensure supply of the information as sought for by the petitioner in terms of the direction passed by the SPIO at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The undated instruction forwarded by the Additional District Magistrate (LR) & District Land & Land Reforms Officer, Malda be taken on record.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
