The petitioner had applied for admission to B.Ed course under the category 'deputed'. This was an inadvertent error on her part. She was working as a teacher in a private institute. Therefore, she should have been treated as a 'fresher'. This inadvertent error remained in the application form. For this, the University has refused to grant registration to the petitioner. The examination is supposed to start from 23.07.2024.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the College authorities submits that it was indeed an inadvertent error on the part of the petitioner, which should be corrected. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University denies the allegations and submits as follows. The University had issued a notice giving a date within which any defect

should be corrected. But, the petitioner did not pursue the same. The representation was made only on 13.07.2024 It is not the case of the University that the petitioner has or is in a position to derive any benefit by mentioning herself as "Deputed" instead of "Fresher" in the application for admission. Thus, there is no reason not to have the above referred inadvertent error corrected.

Considering the balance of convenience and in the interest of justice, the University is directed to issue necessary registration document or any relevant document so that the petitioner can sit in the forthcoming examinations at the earliest and positively before 22.07.2024. If such documents cannot be issued online, the same shall be issued manually.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
