Mr. Amitava Bhowmik .......for the petitioners Mr. Tanmoy Saha Mr. Mirza Firoz Ahmed Begg ......for the State The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Begg, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment should be regularized by the concerned authority. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner expresses his anxiety regarding slow progress of the case. I find that the case was initiated in the year 2021 and the prosecution has proposed to rely upon six witnesses out of which two of the witnesses belong to the police department. The grievance of the petitioner is that the de facto complainant is not appearing as a witness in the case when called for by the learned Court.

I have taken into account the records of the case and find all the accused persons are not regularly present. Having regard to the factum that around 23 months have passed since the initiation of the case and in between the dates fixed there is a long stretch, I direct the learned Trial Court to fix at least one date in every 45 days so that the Trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

All efforts be taken by the stake holders to cooperate with the Trial Court so that the trial is concluded at the earliest. With these observations, CRR 2707 of 2023 is disposed of.

Connected applications, if any, shall also disposed of accordingly.
