The petitioner is aggrieved that the police have not cleared his application for passport. He submits that the cases pending against him were not to his knowledge and that the police have demanded a bribe.

It appears to this Court that the petitioner has suppressed three several proceedings, namely, Daspur Police Station Case No. 03 of 2014 dated 02.01.2014 under Section 186 of the IPC, Daspur Police Station Case No.1135 of 2015 under Section 107 of the Cr. P. C. and the Daspur Police Station Case No.345 of 2012 dated 25.08.2012 under Section 107 of the Cr. P. C. in his application for passport.

The defence, advanced by counsel for the petitioner, that the cases were not to his knowledge, is difficult to accept. Three several cases against the petitioner not to his knowledge, is not believable. 4.

In the above circumstances, this Court does not find any infirmity in the refusal of the petitioner's application for passport.

The impugned order is sustained.

However, upon the aforesaid criminal cases being compounded or disposed of or otherwise suitably dealt with, the petitioner shall be entitled to apply for passport afresh. He shall disclose all relevant and material facts.

Upon the receipt of the petitioner's application, the respondent/the Regional Passport Officer shall consider the petitioner's application strictly in terms of the Passports Act, 1967 and the applicable Rules and Laws and dispose of the same.

With the aforesaid observation and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
