The petitioner seeks 'A' category scale of pay relying on the training obtained by him. He has been awarded the 'A' category scale of pay from a later date, but not from the next date of conclusion of the examination of the training course.

The issue whether a candidate will be entitled to receive 'A' category scale of pay on and from the next date of conclusion of the examination of the training

course or on and from the date of declaration of result of the training course has been conclusively decided by the Court by various pronouncements.

It has been held that a teacher will be treated as trained on and from the next date of completion of the training course.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing that the petitioner shall be entitled to receive 'A' category scale of pay on and from the next date of conclusion of the examination of the training course in the month of June, 2006.

The concerned District Inspector of Schools is directed to re-calculate the dues of the petitioner and take necessary steps to ensure that payment is disbursed in favour of the petitioner at the earliest, but, positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of.
