Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

None appears on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioners are aggrieved by the engagement of persons from the general category as members of the Betajora Forest Committee for performing the duties and functions and for being the beneficiaries for the usufructory benefits of the forest. 4.
It has been submitted that the said persons from the general category have been engaged as per the sweet will of the beat officer. According to the petitioners, the benefit is meant only for the reserved category candidates.

The petitioners objected to the same by submitting several representations and allege that none has been considered till date.

The persons against whom the petitioners have raised objection are not impleaded as party in the instant writ petition.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Divisional Forest Officer
to take into consideration the objection filed by the petitioners strictly in accordance with the relevant scheme/regulation after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties by passing a reasoned order at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the allegation of the petitioners appears to be proper, then necessary remedial steps shall be taken.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners is directed to forward the representation seeking consideration to the aforesaid respondent along with all supporting documents at the time of communicating the order of the Court.
10. The writ petition stands disposed of.
11. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
