The instant writ petition relates to a grievance made by the petitioner on the quantum of compensation against acquisition of his land fixed by the L.A. Collector. It appears from the averment made by the petitioner in paragraph 6 of the writ petition that the petitioner already received rupees six lakhs one thousand one hundred twenty eight for the cheque No. 946909 on 18th December, 2002 against the said plot of land measuring about 69 decimals situated at Gopalpur Mouza at the rate of Rs.14,200/- per cottah. Subsequent to the filing of the instant writ petition in the year 2007 the petitioner never took

any step. Accordingly, there is every reason to hold that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the instant writ petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.)
