The petitioner is aggrieved by the progress of investigation into Kalna Police Station Case No.472 of 2022 dated 07.06.2022 under Sections 302/201/506/ 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions issued by the Officerin-Charge, Kalna Police Station addressed to the learned State Advocate and the same is taken on record. It appears that indeed investigation is going on at a very slow pace.

The statements of the petitioner under Section of the CrPC has not yet been recorded.

The investigating officer shall record the statement of the petitioner, who submits that his son was murdered by the private respondents accused persons. It is ordered that the investigation into the matter be completed mandatorily and positively within two months from date.

The final report may be submitted before the concerned ACJM.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
