08.08.2024 KC WPA No. 15886 of 2015 CAN 1 of 2016 (Old CAN 4694 of 2016) Bidhu Bhusan Sarkar Vs.

Union of India & Ors.

Mr. Bidhu Bhusan Sarkar ... petitioner in person.

The grievance of the petitioner (in person) is directed against a representation for further interest made before the respondent authorities in Case No. 48-(22)/2009-ALCO-1-E-2 pending before the respondent authorities.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner, that despite a representation seeking review of an order dated June 2, 2017 passed by the Learned Assistant Commissioner and for enhancement of interest, the respondent authorities have taken no action in the matter and the matter has long been kept pending.

In such circumstances, the petitioner submits that an appropriate direction be passed upon the respondent authority being the Regional Labour Commissioner to consider the representation of the petitioner.

Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondents nor is any adjournment prayed for on their behalf.

Pursuant to an earlier order of this Court, Mr. Shiv Chandra Prasad, Advocate is present in Court and assists the petitioner in making submissions.

In view of the reliefs sought for by the petitioner, WPA 15886 of 2015 stands disposed of by directing the Regional Labour Commissioner or his delegate to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner in Case No. 48-(22)/2009-ALCO-1-E-2 within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order and upon notice to the petitioner.

With the above directions, WPA 15886 of 2015 along with all connected application stand disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
