Appointment letter is to be issued by the concerned authority of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. Board could not issue appointment letter in time since police verification report was not issued by the concerned police authority which led this Court to direct the concerned police authority to

issue police verification report in favour of the petitioner within a specified time.

Today, copy of police verification report which is submitted before the Court is taken on record and the copy of the same has been made over to Ms. Koyeli Bhattacharyya, learned advocate representing the Board. Since copy of the police verification report is handed over to the learned advocate for the Board, the concerned authority of the Board is directed to issue appointment letter in favour of the petitioner by 22nd October, 2024. Petitioner shall appear before the concerned authority of the Board on 22nd October, 2024 at 12.00 noon and collect the appointment letter.

On issuance of appointment letter petitioner shall join the post immediately thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
