Petitioners seek bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are more or less on the same footing as that of other co-accused who were granted bail on September 7, 2021 in C.R.M. 5743 of 2021. He highlights the period of detention of the petitioners.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the medical report. Co-accused were granted bail on September 7, 2021 in C.R.M. 5743 of 2021 on the consideration that they were the female members of the family and that the male members of the family were named assailants.

The petitioner before us are the male members and they are named assailants, therefore, they cannot be said to be in the same footing as the persons granted bail on September 7,

2021.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.

C.R.M. 7665 of 2021 is dismissed.
