CRR/2/2023 is an application for effectuating out of Court settlement of the dispute between the parties. It appears from the record that Thakurpukur Police Station Case No. 258/2021 dated 29th December, 2021 under Sections 406/420/468/471/120B of the Indian Penal Code was registered on the basis of a written complaint submitted by the opposite party no. 2.

During pendency of the aforesaid case, the parties have settled their dispute. The dispute is absolutely private in nature having no big monetary ramification. A report was sought for from the Officerin-Charge of Thakurpukur Police Station to ascertain as to whether the dispute has been amicably settled by the de facto complainant freely and voluntarily without any threat, coercion or undue influence. The Sub-Inspector of Police, Thakurpukur Police Station has submitted a report through Mr. Nandy, learned Public Prosecutor-inCharge. It appears from the said report that the dispute between the parties has been compromised.

Considering such aspect of the matter the application for settlement is allowed. In view of the decision of this Court, further proceeding in connection with Thakurpukur Police Station Case No. 258/2021 dated 29th December, 2021 under Sections 406/420/468/471/120B of the Indian Penal Code be quashed. It is noted that on 31st March, 2023 Mr. Pradip Kumar Roy along with Ms. Priyanjali Imran Ali were not recorded though they represented the opposite party no. 2.
